Terms of Service

The agreement that governs how we work together.

These terms set out how Bookters delivers consulting engagements and how we protect the interests of the authors and publishers we work with.

Services

Bookters provides strategic publishing consultancy including discoverability consulting, library placement support, visibility strategy, market and reader analysis, author branding, editorial positioning and related author services. Every engagement is customized to the goals, category and readership of the book in question.

Client Responsibilities

By engaging Bookters, clients agree to provide accurate project information, respond to requests for required materials in a timely manner, review deliverables promptly and maintain ownership of their own intellectual property throughout the engagement.

Intellectual Property

Clients retain complete ownership of their books, manuscripts and original content.

Bookters retains ownership of its proprietary methodologies, reports, frameworks, templates, strategies and branded systems, including the Book Visibility Engine™, Book Visibility Mapping™, Reader Advocacy Mapping™, AI Discoverability Mapping™, Author Authority Mapping™ and Book Insight Blueprint™.

Confidentiality

Bookters treats all unpublished manuscripts, positioning notes, financial figures and internal project materials as confidential. Information is disclosed only where necessary to deliver the contracted work.

Service Timelines

Project timelines begin once all required materials have been received. Estimated delivery windows are communicated per engagement and may vary depending on scope, revisions and third-party dependencies such as library systems or media outlets.

Limitation of Results

Bookters provides strategic consulting and implementation guidance. No guarantees are made regarding book sales, retailer rankings, bestseller status, media coverage, search rankings, AI recommendations or publishing contracts. External outcomes depend on many independent factors, including category dynamics, editorial quality and reader response.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookters is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of its services. Total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement in question.

Governing Agreement

Clients agree to these terms when purchasing services from Bookters. Any additional terms specific to a particular engagement will be provided in writing at the outset of the project.
